Finiverse Co-Founders Win “Technologist of the Year” Award

Sindi Banaj and Maryem Bouatlaoui, undergrads at Wharton, were nominated for – and won – the Philadelphia Citizen’s 2024 Rad Award for Technologist of the Year.

The Philadelphia Citizen and Rad Girls host this annual award ceremony to honor women in the Philadelphia area and their allies for their work as business leaders, lawyers, activists, storytellers, connectors, and more.

Sindi and Maryem were nominated for their outstanding work co-creating Finiverse – the Stevens Center’s innovative new app for helping prospective students navigate the world of college loans and financing.

Other nominees for the “Technologist of the Year” Award included Leslie Chapman, engineering fellow wtih Comcast, Dr. Marylyn D. Ritchie, vice dean of artificial intelligence and computing with Penn Medicine, and Melissa Scott, chief information officer with the City of Philadelphia.
